Make Up Shooting

I spend all my last week shooting model. So I am really tired but I am happy to see that I am back with many different pictures.

That's possible because I was not alone. There were a handful of models but also make up artists and clothing designer.

That was a big stuff, up to ten models by day, two stylists, six makeup artists and five photographers !!!

Shooting during height hours a day is really exhausting. Especially when there is different type of subject who need different lighting and body expression.
Maybe I could have keep the same lightning for almost every model and focus only on his body expression like some other photographers. But I am proud to have such different pictures.

I do many errors that I have to correct next time. But as Abraham Stoker write in Dracula : "We learn from failure, not from success!"

Casting "Make Up Shooting"

Last sunday I went as a photographer to a casting for a manga shooting project.
There were make-up artists, stylists, photographers and models in an "artist studio workshop".
The real shooting session will be next week-end but the art director want to see what we can do together. So I made some pictures :

It is quite special to be with so much people, I will do my best next week to make honour to their talent.

Now I can't wait for the week-end to begin !

Forest Photo Shoot

Last week-end I went into the forest of Meudon with two other photographers and a model to take some pictures.

The model was fantastic and look like George Clooney :

It was quite special to build up a studio in a forest. The walkers must have thought we was crazy !

But nobody ask us what we are doing.
And we are proud of the result we achieved :

No, don't be afraid, this is not a real gun.

And to finish, a proxy view of an eye of the model, with the umbrella reflection in it :

London Trip

We have been to London for three days.
We took the Eurostar.

It was difficult to access it. I was going there like taking a train, but it is like taking a plain. There was security check, ID card and X-Ray scanning of luggage, no knife allowed. An no way to put it in the hold, like in plain. You have to pay 20 Euros to keep it.
When coming back to France, someone have tried to bring an axe !

The architecture is very different.

Sometime all the distric is build indenticaly.

We heat in the Crypt of a church already in activities :
We went to the Changing Guard show :

Everybody wants to see that, even a very small photographer with a big camera :

It was quite difficult to understand what is happening, so we are not always at the right place.
This old tradition must not hide the very modern side of London : the night life !

Going to Trafalgar Square at night is amazing. There is lot of people going to night club :
Here is a crazy bus with music and spotlight, every passenger was dancing !

This duality of London can be seen in his architecture :

What I like in going to foreign country is that you are aware to everything and discover some differences. But when you came back you see that some thing already exist in your own country but you don't see it before !
For example, the Subway fast food where we heat in Montreal and London, I saw that it exist in France but we did not notice it.

Week-end in the country

Lask week-end, I went in the country of my mother. It is a very small village in Haute-Marne. There is nothing but a town hall and a church. Very peaceful !

A sculpture of the mascot of France :

It was very green because they are lot of field, for cereal or cow.

An also plenty of insects :

A lizard, ready to catch a fly.

I also have the chance to shoot (in the photography sense I mean !) a buzzard.

I went in the garden of my grand-mother to see her beautiful flower :
